For bol's B2B holiday campaign we handled the art direction, rewrote the concept into a shooting script and storyboard, cast the film, directed the voice-over and were on set throughout the shoot.

The concept initially came from DEPT, our work started at the point where a crude concept has to become a film that actually sounds and looks like bol. That is a different job from concepting because it runs on tone, timing, casting and the small decisions that make a brand recognisable.

We rewrote the script into bol's B2B voice and drew it out as a storyboard, scene by scene, so that what had to be filmed was settled. Twenty seconds, six scenes, built around a match cut from the gym to the warehouse. Same movement but a different world towards the middle of the film.

We also did the casting for the film and photography to match the energy between the two. In a script where an athlete (bol partner) and a bol trainer (bol) have to work in tandem to each other's movement it comes down to who you put in front of the camera.

On the day we worked alongside the director and the producer, with a full crew around them. Timo Blanksma shot stills throughout for social and the key visual, so the photography came out of the same day rather than a separate production.

Afterwards we art directed the voice-over and checked the versioning and the grade.
